Questions
Questions about the clipboard on Windows
How many items does the Windows clipboard history keep?
100 by default, and you can set anything from 10 to 500. When the list is full the oldest items that are not pinned drop off first.
Does the Windows clipboard history keep images and files?
Yes. Lesskeys keeps text, images and copied files. Text is pasted where your cursor is; for an image or a file the item goes back on the clipboard and you paste it as usual.
Does the clipboard history survive a Windows restart?
Yes. The history is saved on your PC, so it is there after you restart.
Does Lesskeys replace the Windows clipboard history?
No. The built-in history keeps working. Lesskeys keeps its own, with a larger size, search and pinning.
