Questions about calls on Windows

How does Lesskeys capture the other people on a call?

It records the sound your PC plays with WASAPI loopback, which is the other people, together with your microphone, which is you, as one recording.

Is my call uploaded anywhere on Windows?

No. The recording and the transcript are made and kept on your PC, and it works offline after the models are downloaded once.

Do I have to tell people I am recording a meeting?

Tell the people you record. Some places require everyone's consent, and the rules differ by country and by state. Lesskeys leaves that decision with you.

How much disk space does a call recording use?

Audio takes roughly 44 MB an hour. If you record video too, plan for roughly 0.5 GB an hour.
