How to record a Webex meeting

Short answer

In Webex, the host records the meeting, and a cohost can if the host is away. To keep your own copy on your computer instead, or when you are an attendee, there is a second way.

Who can record in Webex

The host records. A cohost takes over when the host is not there.

When the original host joins, they take the host role and recording back. Webex shows a recording indicator in the host's window.

Questions

Questions about recording a Webex meeting

Can you record a Webex meeting?

Yes. The host records, and a cohost can when the host is not in the meeting. Webex saves a computer recording as an MP4 file; cloud recording needs a paid plan.
