Transcription by industry
These thirteen pages are really one page: someone recorded a conversation they are not allowed to upload. Find yourself by the rule you are working around — a client’s confidentiality, a consent form, an NDA, or an IT policy that bans meeting bots.
Law, health & people
Work where a third party’s recording is the whole point, and uploading it is the part you cannot do. The audio is someone else’s — a client’s, a patient’s, an employee’s.
Research & academia
Multi-participant recordings where who said what matters as much as what was said — and where the consent form usually said the audio stays with the researcher.
Media & writing
Long recordings, tight deadlines, and material that is not yours to publish yet. Per-minute billing is the tax you stop paying here.
Business & meetings
The case where the blocker is not the recording but the bot — a visible participant in the call, and a copy of the meeting on a vendor’s server.
Not on this list?
The job title is the label, not the reason. Every page above is the same page underneath: someone recorded a conversation they are not allowed to upload, and needed the words out of it anyway. If your work is not named here, the general explanations cover the same ground.

FAQ
Do I need a different version of Lesskeys for my profession?
No. There is one app and one price. The pages above differ in the examples and the workflow they describe, not in the software — every one of them is the same Lesskeys, free to download with a one-time $49.99 Pro unlock.
Does the recording really never leave my Mac?
Yes. Transcription runs on your Mac's GPU using a model downloaded to your machine. There is no account, no upload step and no server to send audio to, and it works with the network off.
Can Lesskeys tell who said what in a multi-person recording?
Yes. Speaker diarization runs on-device: it groups the audio by voice and labels each segment, so an interview or a panel comes back as a speaker-labeled transcript rather than one block.
Which meeting apps does it work with?
Any of them. Lesskeys records your Mac's system audio and your microphone from your side of the call, so Zoom, Teams, Meet and anything else are all just sound on the machine. Nothing joins the meeting and nothing appears in the participant list.
