Real estate agents: best apps, by the job they do

Short answer

An agent's day runs on a few kinds of apps: a CRM, showing and listing tools, e-signature, a design app and the phone. This is the short list by job, and where Lesskeys fits: dictating listing text and copying MLS details into one email.

Illustration: an agent with a laptop stands outside a house with a for-sale sign and says the listing description out loud. A sound wave shows the speech, and the words fill in the description field of a new-listing form. The text is a made-up sample.
Sample listing text. You read it back and edit it; Lesskeys does not write it for you.

The right app for each job

The job decides the app, for agents and for realtors alike.

  • Contacts and follow-up: a CRM. Example: Follow Up Boss.
  • Listings and showings: showing software. Example: ShowingTime.
  • Contracts: an e-signature app. Example: Docusign eSignature.
  • Photos and flyers: a design app.
  • Calls, calendar, mileage: your phone.
  • Writing, notes, copying between windows: Lesskeys.

Where Lesskeys fits

Say the listing, copy the MLS details once, paste them in one email.

  1. Dictate the listing description.

Say it, read it back, edit it. It does not write for you.

  2. Copy the MLS details first.

Square footage, HOA fee, school district: the history keeps all of them (one agent's words).

    Clipboard history is free
  3. Record a video call with a client.

    No bot joins the call.

An honest check

Notes app and clipboard may be enough

One detail at a time, short messages? You may not need it.

Pick your notes app and the plain clipboard if

  • Built in, nothing to install.
  • Right when you copy one thing at a time.

Pick Lesskeys if

  • Keeps a list, so you copy several details, then paste each.
  • Dictation for longer text.

Questions

Questions about apps for real estate agents

Can Lesskeys write a listing description for me?

No. Lesskeys writes down what you say, so you speak the description and then edit it. It does not generate text.

Does Lesskeys connect to the MLS?

No. You copy what you need from the MLS page, or any page, and paste it where it belongs. The clipboard history keeps what you copied.

Does Lesskeys work on a phone?

No. It runs on a Mac or a Windows PC.

Can I record a client call with Lesskeys?

Yes, for video calls and meetings on your computer. Open Lesskeys before the call; when it starts in a call app or website Lesskeys recognizes, a small “Call detected” prompt appears, and you click Record. It records the sound your computer plays and your microphone. A call on your cell phone is not recorded. Tell the people you record; some places require everyone's consent.
