Podcast transcription on your Mac or PC, a label for every voice
A podcaster uses Lesskeys to turn an episode recording into a transcript with a label for each host and guest, on their own computer. You get text to edit into show notes; Lesskeys does not write the show notes for you.

Every voice
Every voice gets its own label
Add the episode, or the raw multi-voice recording, and each host and guest gets a label.
You set how many people spoke (2 by default). Rename the labels once, so a pull quote goes to the right voice.

Remote guest
A remote guest, no bot in the call
Lesskeys records the sound your computer plays and your microphone. No bot joins the call.
A guest who comes back can be recognised from the voice you named.
Tell the people you record; some places require everyone's consent.
Your library
Find the quote and hear it
The Library keeps each episode and its transcript together.
Search the text, play the recording from a line, and copy the words into your show notes.
Read it
A transcript is a draft
It writes down what was said. Names, brand names and jargon can come out wrong.
Labels can be wrong when voices overlap, so read it while the episode plays. Weighing an editor? See Lesskeys next to Descript.

Questions
Questions about Lesskeys for podcasters
Can I transcribe a podcast offline?
Yes. Lesskeys transcribes an episode on your computer, with no upload and no internet connection needed once the speech model is on your computer.
Does it label each host and guest?
Yes. It labels each speaker, and you can tell it how many people spoke and rename the labels. Labels can be wrong when voices overlap, so read the transcript against the episode.
Can I use the transcript for show notes?
Yes, as text you edit: copy it from the Library into your show notes. Lesskeys writes down what was said in 99 languages and does not write the notes itself.
