Clinical dictation for doctors: say the note now, not after the clinic day

Short answer

Say a clinical note instead of typing it, then paste the text into the record. The audio is turned into text on your computer; you check every note.

Illustration: a doctor, just after a visit, says a note out loud. The words are written line by line in a notes window under the headings Subjective, Objective, Assessment and Plan. The text is a made-up sample, not a real patient.
Sample text, not a real patient. You read and correct every note before it goes into a record.

Clinic day

Say it between patients

Say each note while the visit is fresh, then paste it.

Illustration of a clinic day with six patients. In the first row the notes are typed after the clinic: the clock shows 18:30 and all six notes are still waiting. In the second row each note is said between patients: as each patient leaves, a tick lands, and the row ends on Notes done.
Illustration of two routines, not a measurement. Sample queue, no real patients.

Three jobs

What a doctor does with it

  1. Dictate a note between patients.

Paste it into your records system. Nothing is connected to it.

  2. Dictate a letter or a referral.

  3. Transcribe a team meeting.

Speaker labels, searchable text, no bot.

Questions

Questions about Lesskeys for doctors

Does Lesskeys replace Dragon Medical?

No. Lesskeys is a general-purpose speech tool: it writes what you say into any field you can paste into. It is not a medical-vocabulary product, so review the output before it enters a patient record.

Does Lesskeys make a claim about patient privacy rules?

No. The audio is turned into text on your computer and is not uploaded, but Lesskeys makes no claim about the privacy rules that apply to your practice. You or your practice are responsible for them; ask whoever advises you.

Can I dictate a letter in my patient's language?

Yes, among the 99 languages Lesskeys detects. Pin the languages you use most, up to four, and check the result: names and medical terms can come out wrong in any language.
