Questions

Questions about Maccy and Lesskeys

Is the Maccy clipboard manager free?

Yes. Maccy is a free, open-source clipboard manager under the MIT licence, and its pages say it is and will always be free. The Mac App Store also sells a paid build of the same app, which supports its development.

Does Maccy work on macOS 13 Ventura?

Its README and its App Store listing say macOS Sonoma or later. Lesskeys runs from macOS 13 Ventura on an Apple Silicon Mac.

Does Maccy save the passwords I copy?

By default Maccy ignores copies that apps mark as confidential or temporary, and it ignores 1Password and KeeWeb. Lesskeys on a Mac does not skip them, so a copied password is saved until you delete it.
