What Lesskeys does not do that Rev does
Lesskeys has no human transcribers.
- No legal or caption products
- No phone app
What it writes is what the model heard, and you correct it yourself. Hard audio (crosstalk, heavy accents, poor rooms) is where a person still wins. Whisper can get names and rare words wrong.

Keep Rev's human-checked transcripts as files.

Questions
Questions about Rev and Lesskeys
Is there a Rev alternative that does not upload my files?
Yes. Lesskeys transcribes audio and video on your computer, so files are never uploaded to a transcription service, and it works with the internet off once its models are downloaded.
Does Lesskeys charge by the minute like Rev?
No. Lesskeys has no per-minute charge and no subscription. Rev's human, AI and plan costs, with the date they were checked, are in the table; a human-checked transcript is a different product from a model's.
Does Lesskeys have human transcription like Rev?
No. Lesskeys is fully automatic and runs on your computer. For difficult audio that must be right the first time, a human service such as Rev is still the better choice.
Can Lesskeys label different speakers, as Rev does?
Yes, on your computer. Labels are automatic, and a name you give a voice is remembered for later recordings.
