Is there a Notta alternative that does not send a bot into the meeting?
Yes. Lesskeys records your computer's sound and your microphone, so nothing joins the call and no one sees a recorder in the meeting. Notta also has recording on your device without a bot; Lesskeys then transcribes it on your computer too.
Notta has a Privacy Mode now, so how is Lesskeys different?
Notta's own page says Privacy Mode is a beta option that transcribes on your computer. In Lesskeys, local processing is not a mode: it is the only way it works, with no cloud path to switch on.
Can Lesskeys transcribe audio or video files I already have?
Yes. Drop in an MP3, M4A, WAV, MP4 or MOV and it is transcribed on your computer, with speaker labels and a player that follows the transcript.
