It records what plays on your computer, so it cannot cover a call you are not at. Whisper can get names and rare words wrong, so check anything that matters.

Its guide says downloads need a paid plan. Save the transcripts you want to keep first: Lesskeys has no importer for Fireflies meetings.

Is there a Fireflies alternative that does not join the meeting?
Yes. Lesskeys records your computer's sound and your microphone, so no bot or extra participant appears in the call. Fireflies has a Chrome extension for Google Meet that records without the bot; with Lesskeys the transcription also runs on your own computer.
Does Lesskeys connect to Slack, Salesforce or a CRM?
No. Lesskeys is a single-user app with no cloud back end, so it has no integrations. You copy the transcript out as text and use it wherever you like.
Does Lesskeys label who said what, as Fireflies does?
Yes. Labels are automatic and made on your computer, and you can name each speaker.
