Illustration of the Wi-Fi switch turning off while two people dictate. In the first lane, for Wispr Flow, the speech travels to a cloud, then the lane stops and shows Needs a connection. In the second lane, for Lesskeys, the speech goes to your computer and the sentence is still written with Wi-Fi off.

Not for you?

What Lesskeys does not do that Wispr Flow does

Lesskeys never cleans up your text with AI.

  • No filler-word removal
  • No AI reformatting
  • No iPhone or Android app

It writes what Whisper heard. Mixed languages in one sentence can go wrong, so pin the languages you speak (up to four).

Switching

Before you switch: your custom words

Write down your custom words.

In Lesskeys you can recreate them as text replacements (find and replace). It records your computer's sound and your microphone, so no bot joins.

Tell the people you record; some places require everyone's consent.

Yes, in any app. It also transcribes recorded calls and video files with speaker labels.

Does my voice leave my computer when I dictate with Lesskeys?

No. The audio and the text stay on your device, and there is no cloud step for transcription.
